Megan forgot the link to the song, and that picture makes me a little uncomfortable. Juicy kisses should not be placed on public display like that.
I got Megan’s anniversary present early and then felt the need to do something else (anything, really) on the actual day. Something romantic would be nice, right?
How about writing her a heartfelt love song and then, while I’m at work, emailing her a copy of me singing it? That’s romantic, right? How about paying some website$4.95 and having someone else (who can actually write sappy songs and has a better singing voice) do it--well that’s just plain smart, right?
Now if they just come up with a song that wasn't so sickeningly cheesy.
And yes, I selected “Woman” as they desired “term of endearment” from a list of about 90 possibilities. The list included such gems as:
- Lambkin
- Big Girl
- Sugar Booger
- Poopsy, and
- Sugarbuns
I hope I never hear someone call their wife Poopsy. I'd go insane.
Here's the song (again, from the heart) (except for the weird part about "enduring the morning after"--not sure what that's all about).
Just FYI, The Valentines song has awesome personalization incorporated into the lyrics like "It's our 7th Valentine's Day (Oh Megan)".

If only I had married a man as romantic as you, Clint. Meg, you're one lucky woman. All I can hope for on my anniversary is that my name will appear carved onto some obscure tree in Dave's next video game. Wait. Maybe that IS romantic... WOW! That song is........... I've got no words to descibe it! It is one of those songs that I will have stuck in my head for the rest of the day too. ( I think I just threw up a little in my mouth.)
But seriously, we love you both. Megan, we couldn't be happier that you are part of our family.
